In 2007-2008, I participated in the Quality Educator Development program with several other faculty in the sciences at Dominguez Hills. I also am participating in the development of curricular tools for K-12 biology education as a part of a collaboration with CSU Dominguez Hills, Los Angeles Unified School District, and the University of Wisconsin.  This includes serving as the content expert for a week-long institute for teacher professional development.  In 2008-2009, I am being supported by this program to develop a new laboratory curriculum for the general biology laboratory for non-majors.
